Nathaniel’s guitar ensemble compositions build upon different traditions of community process music and specifically the music of bells. Drawing from change ringing, zvon, Javanese and Balinese gamelan, Braddock posits how these traditional forms of public art can be vital interruptions in our modern cities.

The Japanese cassette label Union Pole released a collection of recordings entitled If I Were a Bell, I Would Sing in 2020. The Los Angeles Electric 8 have performed and recorded several of these pieces.
